TB 43-0001-61-15-1
place an update to 1.5.0a on the support forum in January in the 1830A Firmware Releases
forum at, https://geneva.tegam.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=65. This will allow users of
older units to move their storage location if they so choose. As with all firmware updates,
instructions will be included with the release package. Any user requiring a repair or
replacement of the SD card in a unit that was shipped with an SD card will be serviced by
updating firmware to 1.5.0a (or newer), resulting in that unit no longer needing an SD card.
TEGAM recommends that all users migrate to firmware version 1.5.0a or newer and stop
using SD card storage. This will eliminate any risk of downtime or data loss caused by SD
card failure.
4.3 Accurate Reporting for Interval Analysis. Calibration technical bulletins no longer
include the designation/explanation of reportable (R) and not reportable adjustments.
However, a review of TB 750-25 (1 Nov 2014) Appendix D PREPARATION OF DA FORM
7372, TMDE CALIBRATION AND REPAIR DATA FORM, D-6 Procedure, a.(28) Block 28 -
REPAIR/ADJUSTMENTS section (d) NOTE reads as follows (page D-7): "Routine
adjustments or alignments are those adjustments or alignments specifically identified to be
completed in part a. of the performance check (e.g. the time base adjustment on a frequency
counter performed during each calibration to correct for drift). Adjustments or alignments
directed to be completed in part b. of the performance checks due to an out of tolerance
condition are not routine. Time utilized for adjustments or alignments to restore an item to
within tolerance should be recorded as calibration hours". Part of the intent of this statement
is to assist the technician in determining whether the item is in or out of tolerance for
reporting purposes on the DA 7372. Routine adjustments are not reported as out of tolerance
conditions for the purposes of the DA 7372 and interval analysis.
4.4 Collection and Reporting of Supply Data. Accurate supply information is critical
for program management purposes, lifecycle tracking, collecting NSN and APN demands and
parts failure data. The TIMMS Supply Module contains various utilities needed to maintain
supply functions and files. As parts are ordered, received and issued by the TSA a record of
the transaction must be updated in the TIMMS Supply Module. This supply information is
reported to USATA during the TIMMS synchronization cycle.
4.5 AN/GRM-122 Parts Availability. The AN/GRM-122 program has been experiencing
major issues with repair parts. The problem has been elevated and USATA HQ is working
with CECOM and AMCOM to get parts. At this time if you have any issues with your GRMs

4.6 Quality Assurance. This office has noted an increased number of findings for having
improper DA labels attached to calibrated items, most commonly the use of a DA Label 80
instead of a DA Label 163. With a number of calibration procedures containing instructions
to affix a DA Label 163, everyone performing a calibration is reminded to carefully read the
final procedure of each technical bulletin and automated procedure. Some examples of
instruments routinely receiving limited calibration include models 2204, 2626-H, 4410, 5520,
6250, 8846A, ACDAWS, FMAV, HARSLX90.001, PACE1000, and R1M.
