Inspect exposed metal surfaces for rust and

corrosion. Touch up paint as required.

Cable assemblies

Inspect cables for cracked, chafed, or frayed

insulation. Inspect connectors for damage

or defects; replace or repair as necessary.

Canvas items .

Inspect canvas bag for deterioration and

TM 10-269

fungus growth. Inspect for tears, repair as

indicated in TM 10-269,replace deteriorated

items, and wash fungus covered items with

mild soap and water and dry completely.
