Inspect the Electronic Test Set for missing or damaged components. Check for physical damage such as breaks, cracks,
wear, etc.

There are no lubrication tasks required.
4-9 CLEANING

Use spray cleaner (Item 1, App. D) to clean the outside surfaces of the test set. Wipe clean and dry with a soft cloth.
Clean the lens with lens cleaner (Item 2, App. D).
4-10 ELECTRONIC TEST SET CALIBRATION

a.
GENERAL
Calibration is required to verify the outputs of the Electronic Test Set comply with a set of specifications
established by the National Bureau of Standards. Verification requires it be tested with calibrated test
equipment.
b.
REQUIRED EQUIPMENT
Table 4-1 identifies the specific equipment required. Connect equipment as shown in figure 4-1.

PROCEDURE
NOTE
Allow any test equipment requiring warm up to reach operational temperature before
continuing.
(1)
Ensure external power and DAU power switches are OFF. Connect DAU 28VDC connector to an external
bench power source of 28 V dc; positive (+) to pin B and negative (-) to pin A.
(2)
Connect the MULTI-CH connection on the DAU to the MULTI-CH connection on the Electronic Test Set
using cable part number 29283200.
(3)
Position switches on the Electronic Test Set as follows:
(a)
54 mV/g / 100 mV/g switches to 100 mV/g.
(b)
ACC Signal Select to 1:1.
