TM 55-4920-412-13&P CHAPTER 4 MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS Section I.  PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE CHECKS AND SERVICES 4-1.  General. Preventive maintenance checks and services consist    of    a    visual    inspection    to    be    done    at    each operation    of    the    test    set,    operational    check,    any troubleshooting    required,    and    the    repair    required    to correct any malfunctions.  If your equipment does not operate, troubleshoot with proper equipment.  Report any  deficiencies  using  the  proper  forms,  see  DA  PAM 738-751. 4-2.  Inspections. Do inspections as shown in Table 4-1. Table 4-1.  Operator/Aviation Unit Maintenance Preventive Maintenance Checks and Services. NOTE: Within designated interval, these checks are to be done in the order listed. Section II.  TROUBLESHOOTING 4-3.  Scope. a. This section contains troubleshooting or malfunction    information    and    tests    for    locating    and correcting most of the troubles which may develop in the Bench  Test  Set.    Each  malfunction  or  trouble  symptom for  an  individual  component,  unit,  or  system  is  followed by   a   list   of   tests   or   inspections   necessary   for   you   to determine   probable   causes   and   corrective   actions   for you to remedy the malfunction. b. This manual cannot list all possible malfunctions that  may  occur  or  all  tests  or  inspections  and  corrective actions.      If   a   malfunction   is   not   listed   (except   when malfunction  and  cause  are  obvious),  or  is  not  corrected by listed corrective actions, you should notify higher level maintenance. c. Table   4-2  lists   the   common   malfunctions   that you may find during the operation or maintenance of the Bench  Test  Set  or  its  components.    You  should  do  the tests/inspections   and   corrective   actions   in   the   order listed. 4-1
