(4)
Turn on external power source.
(5)
Turn DAU power switch ON.
(6)
Set signal generator to produce an approximate square wave at 50 KHz and 5V amplitude.
(7)
Select range on the DVM to most accurately display 5Vdc.
(8)
Connect 50KHz output of signal generator to EXT CLK input of the Electronic Test Set.
(9)
Connect shield of EXT ACC input on the Electronic Test Set to signal generator signal ground.
(10)
Connect negative (-) lead of DVM to ANALOG GROUND on DAU Acquisition board, or pin C of ACC 1
input on DAU front panel.
(11)
Connect positive ( + ) lead of DVM to pin C of ACC 1 output on the Electronic Test Set.

SIGNAL OUTPUT LEVEL
NOTE
The absolute value of the output signals is not critical (within a few tenths of a volt) but the
difference between them is important. Therefore record the high and low voltages seen on
the DVM.
At this point with the gain select on 1:1, the output of the DVM should stabilize on about 5.000 V for
approximately 6 seconds, then stabilize on approximately 4.000 V for 6 seconds. If the meter does not have
sufficient time to stabilize, reduce the input frequency on the EXT CLK input.
(1)
Select 1:4 gain range on the Electronic Test Set. Record high and low DVM readings.
(2)
Select 1:16 gain range on the Electronic Test Set. Record high and low DVM readings.
(3)
Select 1:64 gain range on the Electronic Test Set. Record high and low DVM readings.
(4)
Repeat steps 1 to 3 for accelerometer channels 2, 3 and 4. Do this by measuring the output voltage at the
appropriate rear panel connector.
(5)
Select 54 mV/g on the Electronic Test Set.
(a)
Connect negative (-) lead of DVM to ANALOG GROUND on DAU Acquisition board, or pin B of ACC
1 input on DAU front panel.
(b)
Connect positive ( + ) lead of DVM to pin B of ACC 1 output on the Electronic Test Set.
(c)
Select 1:4 gain range on the Electronic Test Set. Record high and low DVM readings.
(d)
Select 1:16 gain range on the Electronic Test Set. Record high and low DVM readings.
(e)
Select 1:64 gain range on the Electronic Test Set. Record high and low DVM readings.
